weary v wary

Don't say that:

"Some people are weary of the new ideas"

Do say this:

"Some people are wary of the new ideas"

Weary means tired

Wary means uncertain or cautious.

So if you are a little afraid of something, you are wary of it.
If you are bored with something, you are weary of it.

If you are tired, you are weary
If you are scared, you are wary.
